Parasurgical Procedures – Agnikarma, Ksharakarma, Raktamoksha
Salyatantra approaches diseases both in conservative and surgical/parasurgical ways. Parasurgical techniques mainly includes raktamoksha (blood-letting) procedures, agnikarma (thermal cauterization), ksharakarma(caustic cauterization), etc. Parasurgical ways (anusastra/anusalya karma) using accessory surgical instruments are found to be very effective in clinical practice by giving best results with minimum time and cost.
The ksharasutra therapy is a unique parasurgical technique practiced in Salyatantra which is superior to all other contemporary surgeries in Fistula-in-ano and Naadivrana(sinuses including pilonidal sinus).
